Harlan Electrical recently worked on an exciting project with an eco-conscious client building a new home in Cheshire. The client wanted to incorporate renewable energy solutions into the design of the home from the outset, opting for both solar panels and electric vehicle chargers.

The Challenge:

The client’s goal was to create a home that was as energy-efficient as possible, with the ability to generate its own electricity through solar power. Additionally, they wanted a seamless integration of an electric vehicle charging system for their car, making their home future-proof.

Our Solution:

After careful planning and design, our team installed a 6kW solar panel system, optimized for maximum energy production. To complement this, we installed a high-efficiency EV charging station in the home’s garage, ensuring that the client could charge their vehicle quickly and conveniently.

The Results:

This integrated solution means the new home generates enough electricity to cover its day-to-day usage, with the surplus being fed back into the grid. The client’s EV charging station is powered by their own solar energy, offering complete independence from the traditional grid for both home and car.
